I have been a member of the NGO ruffly 20 years since it's early days as a supporter & have shot the golden grouse every year . The southern half the country shoot golden pheasant . The NGO golden grouse used to charge x number of £ for your dinner & 100 cartridges for the day well worth the money !!
However 4 years ago they stoped supplying cartridge s .
But I have just been informed that the golden pheasant still supply's the cartridges for the same entry price as we paying for golden grouse
for years the gg gave us hull camp x 24 Grm wud no cycle in automatics
the gp supplied fiocchi 28 grm .
This years gg is at thimbilby clay ground it is cheaper to go around on Sunday 100 birds then on the Monday wit NGO
My question is why the disparities between the two events & why does the golden pheasant travel further north
Hopefully someone in the NGO can give me & a few mates the answers
Ps I am no knocking the NGO but just seems as if the north south divide strikes again .
