Wanted: Nissan X Trail

Mine is 2019, and handbrake is electronic, so comes on automatically. The auto hill hold is a brilliant feature, so no roll back!

None of that electronic trickery on mine, pretty basic in most areas and easy to work on.

Just remembered I did have to change a starter motor a year or two back (to add to the list of parts replaced during last 16yrs ownership) this initially failed when I was nose into a hedgerow whilst out foxing one night and when packing up to leave around midnight was met with no response when turning ignition key.... after a little fiddling and jiggling the engine fired up and got home OK.

It did the same a couple of times over following days before being replaced with a £60 unit from europe as opposed to quote for over £650 from Nissan and around £200 quote from elsewhere, that took all of half an hour to replace from under bonnet on top side of engine bay, easiest starter motor I have ever changed (without going back 50 years).

I hate it 😂 it doesn't come on on some of the more "shallow" gradients, but does on others. When it does come on, I always feel it doesn't come off fast enough and I need to give it a bit more rev than I'm used to doing when it doesn't come on. 😅

I’ve got the older model T31, just had it serviced and new MOT.

I am wanting to sell it as Bristol has this clean air zone and I can’t use it for work or general stuff / seeing friends, going to the airport or my mates farm.

Had it valued on those apps etc and similar one on Autotrader are about £9,500 - £9,000 ish.

It’s the top spec Tekna one.

PM if interested.
If its still for sale my brother is likely interested.

Had a 2005 X-Trail diesel and loved it, big load carrying capacity with rear seats folded flat, but proved infuriatingly unreliable - had a persistent fault which 3 garages couldn't fix, would go into limp mode for no obvious reason. Eventually sold it for spares/ repair and now have 2003 Kia Sorento, which is so far v reliable and even better ground clearance - but not great fuel economy...

I had a T30 2.2 dci which experienced turbo failure, intercooler oil leaks and needed a new fuel pump. In addition, I'd swear that the brake discs are made of chocolate. MPG around 42 (when it wasn't in the garage for repair)
I'll NEVER buy another Nissan (period).

They are strongly built as my pal will testify, he loaded his .308 H&K semi auto using the inside light to see what he was doing yup bang off goes it and he sent the bullet into his drivers seat severing the wire to the seat belt tensioner but there is no hole in the bodywork underneath the seat, the seat absorbed all the forces. ND happened two days ago and he has still not settled down and him being a 40 years of experience hunter. He calls the H&K a plastic s::t rifle.
Not something i would openly tell folk. has it got no safety on it.
