No one should die like this, black, white, yellow, brown or any other shade of colour.
I am heartily sick of 'race' as an issue when the thing of importance is whether anyone is 'good or 'bad', well or mal-intentioned and 'racial stereotypes' are for the ignorant.
I am seriously off-put by any suggestion that race is an issue and those who use race to magnify or minimise an issue, whatever their colour may be.
I hope my attitude stems from a sense of innate fairness and that because 'do as you would be done by' mentions no colour it shouldnt be part of life or anyone's response.
Treating Race as mitigation/explanation/justification is wrong. Simply as an individual, I would expect to be treated fairly - always, by anyone.
Lawlessness is never justified. Neither is a lack of leadership.
Both sides have got this wrong but it is those who do and have done criminal things that should suffer, not everyone.
