As a percentage of the population, Black males have a MUCH harder time then their white, latin and asian male counterparts.
They are killed TWICE as much as White men by Police ( yes, even though more white men are killed by police, but as a percentage, Black men are 2x more likely to be killed)
Black men get stopped, jailed and convicted FAR more then white men, for the SAME crimes!!! And on top, get longer sentences then white men as well!!
Since the 60-70s young black males have been targeted MORE, punished MORE and jailed MORE then white young males.
Which has created almost 2 generations of broken families... since we know when people get out of Jail in America a chance at a normal life is ALOT harder then in other industrialized countries.
So.. since this goes back 50-60 years... are we going to just blame all black men and claim they can't control themselves and are inherently violent and unable to create stable families and communities? Or, might it be the over policification and policies against inner city black men might have created a mess, thats actually not their fault?
1600-1870.. slaves. US Civil war and freeing of slaves.
1870-1960.. second class citizens until US civil rights movements, when blacks got right to drink from a fountain as whites or attend the same schools.
1960-1970.. marijuana got buffed up in the criminal system with higher sentences and systematic patrolling of black communities starting.
1970-2020.. Defunding of inner city schools, much harder to get a job and voting for 2 generation of young black males, while being policed at almost twice the rate as white men, killed twice as much, jailed more then whites and treated to longer sentences then whites. FOR THE SAME CRIMES!!!
But, yeah, the easy way is, just to claim that all black people are incompatible with modern first world countries, because they are just violent and kill each other.
Or you go back in time and look at what policies has been put in place against black people in the US, and what that might actually have created!
They had 10-20 OK years in the 60-70s..
