North Yorkshire stalking

I'm thinking of a move back home to North Yorkshire, probably somewhere round Ripon.

Can anyone in the SD hive mind shed any light on the stalking potential round there? Just roe, or are there any fallow? Any guides in the area etc?

cheers!

Quite a few ,Roe and Fallow around the Hambleton Hills area. Mainly black Fallow around here. Try getting in touch with the Flying fisherman on this site. Hope that helps.

Try Premier Deer Stalking on Facebook, he is in Ripon I believe. Looks to have some good ground and plenty of Roe and some Fallow too.

Thanks folks. I'll probably end up between the Moors and the dales somewhere, likely west of Ripon. Driffield is probably an hour and a half away so doable but a bit to further than I'd want to do on a regular basis.

I'm interested in buying some land up there if we do move (and have a bit of woodland that my family own now but no idea if it has any deer on it) and curious to know about the stalking potential round there.

Plenty roe everywhere now and of course fallow that have been escaping from estates for many years
English stalking is always way over priced , I don't bothervwith it much now , I am minutes from the North Yorkshire border
