Not all high seats are square..

I pulled this seat from a block which never produced many deer compared to others so it is off to watch over a cover strip which has been pulled down waiting for the drill.

Based off ground height seats I made years ago also using up the left over rolled 1" tube for the rail and sides also lower part for better contact to the tree. A floating ladder so the basket can be shimmed to make it up right with the ladder finding its own angle as not all trees are vertical with the last ladder rung the normal foot rest. The rail frame fits into the seat frame so it breaks down into small parts.
The curved sides give a nice dead rest for your elbow, too little detail is in seats as I think the manufacture's believe all trees are dead plum.
Nothing worse with the feeing you are tipping forward 10ft off the ground.. No sandwich or flask holders as my seat times are max 2 hrs 🤫

I have used that sort of netting before and found it useless. You could clearly see the person behind. So I stuck to camo netting.
But as you say it is annoying and uncomfortable to sit on a lot of high seats.

I don't have netting around me when standing on the sticks thin or thick lol. I have found it handy with fallow as over time you slump back in the seat so you move your feet/legs to more of an upright position when they step out...
Like people going on a pigeon shooting course they turn up in camo strides top and jacket. lol
