If he has already tried another firing pin, he must have had the bolt open. So clogged grease or dirt inside the bolt cannot be the reason.

No, that just means that the firing pin is not the problem

does your rifle bolt have an after market bolt shroud? if so change it for a factory one and try your rifle again ,good luck.

Changed the pin over from my other T3 and it still didn't fire only way I got it to ignite the primers was to have them proud of the case by a fraction but that's not right

have you given the inside of the bolt a good clean. There could be a build up of crud at the base of the tube inside the tube. Thus holding the firing pin back and preventing full contact with the cap. Also what is the spring like. If that has weaken you will also get a light strike. Take it back to where you bought it from.

Got it sorted out now gave it a good soak and blew it out clean as a new pin☺
