A brief reminder that the North West branch of the British Deer Society are holding a Stalkers Evening this Friday (30th November 2012)

Venue is the Carnforth Railway Club, starting at 8pm

There will be some trade stands and displays of interest to Deer Stalkers, (don't forget your wallets) and guest speaker.

No surprises that there will be a raffle too, should you feel generous, please bring a small item to donate towards this.

This is also the opportunity to meet with old friends, discuss deer related matters and meet with current members of the BDS NW Committee to discuss what events you may be interested in seeing in the Branch Calendar for 2013.

All BDS members welcome, as are guests.

Just like to thank all who attended the evening.

A very enjoyable event, there was a display of stalking related equipment, including knives, sharpeners, butchery accessories and useful bags / Roe Sacks from Monarch Country Products.

Several stalking rifles (including a new Sako A7), Swarovski, Schmidt & Bender, Meopta and Leupold Scopes and several Swarovski Binoculars as well as a pair of Barr and Stroud binos, on display from Malmo Guns

Thanks go to Highland Outdoors, who at short notice brought a selection of Nikon Scopes and some Ridgeline Clothing for us to see.

The evenings highlight was a talk from srvet who gave a thought provoking presentation about the trend towards the use of mono-metal projectiles in deer management.

Many thanks!
