Would they work on ao scope and would a cable tie do the same job I have 2mm straps of glow in the dark tape marking my parallax settings to see in the dark while using pard I take this means I could turn the ao without my hands getting in the way lolThey’re a cheap throw lever for the zoom ring on a scope.

Some of the original scope "cat tails" (as they're called here), were essentially large zip ties. These days there are more refined options.

Maybe 3mm,but once you have it in place you can trim the unused 'thread' down a bit.
I've order a couple, I put on a large cable tie just to see and can immediately see the benefit, ill be using it with pard
