Bigger waistpack

Hi all.

I've messed about with kit several times and am still working on the best way to bring everything I need. Currently a light bino harness and a waistpack
I've tried pockets, the sika sack pockets, and a big molle bino harness but waistpack seems to work for me best

New ground requires a first aid kit to be carried with a minimum spec and it's a squeeze in the response Pak. Also if like to carry a small pulley set but can't really fit that either

I'm considering a slightly bigger waistpack
I want to avoid a harness as I slide it to the front to hop in a vehicle or grab my stuff out so

Anyone used one of these ?

Or anything similar sized

Only 14quid so I can take a chance but maybe someone can talk me out of it before I waste more money on bags

Haven’t used that one but been down that path/rabbit hole. The only issue with the bigger waste packs is they get heavier and invariably end up dangling round yer arse.

A pair of braces may sort that but there is a line

I've got the decathlon waist pack with extra molle pouches, one of which takes the decathlon roe bag and a suspended gralloch kit. Works well.

The only advantage to being a skinny sod that can't drag a red is I have hips enough to hold a pack on.

I have a Badlands MONSTER fanny pack which would be perfect for the Op but fear he would find it too large. Even with a winter coat on the pockets nearest the waist adjustment strap all but meet in the middle of one’s stomach. Mindful I fluctuate between a 34/36 waist this suggests there's no chance of further belt adjustment for a whippet-like stalker.

Not quite what you're asking but have you considered a vorn? Keep everything in one place and all.

I use the above and have my thermal in my chest pocket on a lanyard. Hands are free for crossing streams, climbing hills and all that stuff

Not cheap , but surprised just how much stuff I can get into this and still be comfortable to wear all day- binoculars, range finder. Garmin GPS handset for dog collar. Chest saw. Gloves . Winch big enough to lift a fallow buck. Long tracking lead. And a few bits and pieces.

There has to be a cheaper way than all this overpriced crap the stalking industry wants to sell us. They want to sell us rucksacks to carry all the stuff that they have sold us that we don’t need! Harnesses for binos and another pocket fur oor thermal. Really !

Remember when we just stuffed things in our pockets, and if there wasn’t room we didn’t take it.

given a good breakfast I can keep a pair of 32" around my waist but anything bigger than that and it'll be round my knees

I'm not running kit inspections or anything,
Please feel free to keep stuffing the things you require into your pockets if that's what you want to do

Thanks all
just for extra giggles I'm going to dig out some other kit i have and see if that works - i sort of just like getting all the bits out and packing them away again i think

I do have a sort of skeleton bino harness from Monarch that is just straps and no bag and am going to get that out along with the sika sack and see how that goes before splashing out on something new

Good luck all

I use the marsupial gear belt with a bird bag when hunting over my dog in Sweden. I find it a lot nicer than a backpack when it is warm, also no straps interfering with gun mount.

Solid kit

You can get a little bag for it.

About 6 liters apparently, you could add more pockets if needed.

Other than that the vorn comes to mind.

Good luck with it.

something to consider is a sling pack , i use a hazard 4 one but maxpedition and quite a few others make them mine is set up to go over my left shoulder leaving my right one free for the rifle sling or rifle when a shot needs to be taken it also works over my kifaru belt kit if needed but frankly that all starts to get a little 'operator' looking so i tend not to

Hazard4 Rocket Coyote Classic 20L

my favorite is gun , binos , knife, sticks and ammo in pockets and over my shoulder
