As everyone is aware, the Ogden's roe-sack is a fantastic piece of kit but it is a bit overkill for muntjac and, when stalking munty on foot or stalking to/from a highseat, I was in the market for a smaller munty sack. A friend of mine bought the Jack Pyke roe-sack and, although a bit small for roebuck imho, it is a good size for munty, so I bought one.
Annoyingly the liner isn't removable unless you cut off the end toggles of the drawstring - infact I replaced the para-cord and replaced the sprung cord fasteners. The liner is also quite thin and looks like a sharp cleave tip or antler tine/ munty fang could possibly rip it, in time. Lastly, I felt like it needed a chest strap across the front of the shoulder straps. Let's be fair, at £40 it is great value and a brilliant little sack - I just wanted something better
I sent Phil Ogden an email and had a chat with him on the phone on Monday..........By Friday my new munty sack arrived in the post. Wow!! what great service and it is exactly what I wanted. All ready to be christened
