Only One…..

This buck has been on my trail cam loads of time including last night with one antler missing in the picture.
Past pictures of him the left one was nearly straight, no matter there are a number of them showing so a few need dealing with.
Same spot from 10 days ago, if he had stuck to his night time feed the out come would have been the usual picture on the trail cam.
31lbs dressed so top weight for this year….
Couple of scale pics with a size 9 boot.

Nicely done and a good weight. How/with what did you remove the antler?

Thank you, I can only guess the 150gn neck shot was enough as he had cast the other so was getting close to losing that one. I saw the fresh mark so poked around as they blend in well.

Nice fat muntie there.
What calibre/bullet combination? Was that entry or exit wound? Was there much bloodshot meat damage? Ta.

Yes only one Tim :thumb:..but a good one to get, more steak for the dugs. Rory looks like Tim removed the antler with the 270 lol. john

Ah right, didn't realise it had come adrift from your shot! Good job locating it after then. :thumb:

Sorry missed your reply, .270 150gn game king that was the exit wound, its is over gunned for them but the .243 has a fixed NV.

Meat damage was contained to top of neck, weight after skinning was 24lb the 4 legs 2 back straps 2 fillets went 16 lb
my friend didn't want the trimmings of 3.5 lb so a good feed for the dogs.
