Op Titanium

It appears to be in the trial stage at present .
It would be interesting to see this challenged, the intention is probably well meaning ,but the wording and context of questions needs a complete review.
Police are trained to recognise coercive and manipulating behaviour let them do their job .
Forcing partners to complete a questionnaire akin to Jeffrey Dahmers Resume isn't helpful.
We can all agree anyone committing domestic violence against their partner is not suitable to hold an FAC .
Allowing victims of severe domestic violence to formulate a questionnaire for partners of FAC holders is not objective or fair .
It's easy to blame the police for everything , their only human people make mistakes .
When a tragedy happens , its always what was missed ?,what went wrong ,?
This usually ends with another hoop to jump through or another stick to beat the shooting community with .The simple truth is a police officer can't be held responsible for the actions of Joe Bloggs who snaps one day .
Any more than can we who are all just trying to enjoy a lawful peaceful activity.
Hopefully this will be reviewed and improved,Perhaps they ll give the feo s the training and support they need ?And allow them to do their jobs . We can all but hope .

Shows the police and shooting organization's and government departments all need to work together to help solve any of the issues for our future.
Things may work better then (if only )

Don’t believe everything you read on social media no hidden agenda with firearms licensing.

Maybe no "hidden" agenda, but certainly an agenda. 1. Reduce the number of firearms in civilian hands. I've been advised of this by numerous FEO's across the UK over the last 3+ years, some are taking it to extremes.

When they banned fox hunting we knew some thing else was coming and we all moan and it will only get worse.
As said above people are not renewing there tickets due to the hassle

Reduce the number of firearms in civilian hands.
I’d agree with that statement reduce the number of firearms that does not mean reduce the number of certificates I my self have two rifles in reality I only need one as I only do stalking just my take on things.
Perhaps the police think why does xxx want seven rifles and eight shotguns.

That's an individual's circumstances alot of people need various calibres for various reasons . Your either fit to own firearms or your not . You have to show good reason to own any failure to do that results in revocation . I understand your point but its going to vary alot from stalker to target shooter to practical .Many of us do all 3 .

Lets say one for target shooting with scope one for hunting with thermal and one with iron sights all the same 22lr.

So many reason's why people have many choices.

What difference would it make? These crazies that go on a killing spree don’t take 7 rifles and 8 shotguns with them.

What a stupid comment.
You can only use one at a time unless you have more than one pair of hands and eyes.

No but the same crazies that break into your property now have 15 firearms to distribute as they see fit.
This it what the home office is afraid of like it or not thighs are changing going back too what this thread is about my wife was asked these questions twenty years ago by the FEO so nothing new.

There is a point for thieves gaining access to multiple firearms .If you store bolts etc seperately ,as per best practice they may well end up with a number of rather inefficient clubs . Your wife may well have spoken with an FEO a number of years ago ,who was doing a thorough job .But where those questions in that exact format as that questionnaire ?

Or a golf club. Or a knitting needle. Or a vehicle.
Yet I don't see much effort being put into reducing the number of those potentially lethal items in civilian ownership.
The difference is how easy and impersonal a firearm can make it. Having had to finish off a badly shot fox cub with a knife is something that has stayed with me ever since while shooting foxes doesn't bother me in the slightest.

At a personal level I've never experienced any suggestions or agenda to reduce overall firearms ownership, only to remove firearms from those who come to notice through their own poor actions.
