Opinions on the jeep compass

What I should have asked is did that light ever work? I will concede that point.
This is the thing, I can actually say I never looked until that evening when I got out to close the gate ? Which was about two weeks after getting it. Would I buy another Jeep, yes but the nearest dealer is two hours away, have a triton now

All makers get their wiring looms made up from suppliers like Delphi (I watched over here local to me the local women making them up in a pub for Audi at Ingolstadt years ago) who then deliver them just in time. Obviously it was a quality issue that Jeep will have to stand by. I would demand either another vehicle or a complete loom replacement which entails all interior trim removal costing them £$1000s.

That was practically the only other option, but really not a fan of Toyotas, unfortunately. Also marginally less ground clearance, but what's an inch between friends :)

As for Yorkie's view on parts pricing, my Wrangler is dead cheap on most spares that I have had to buy. Unsure how the Compass will fare, but got to be cheaper than our Touareg!

funnily enough I’ve just bought a Touareg…. 2015 year Escape….. very happy with it so far ( five months in)

Have you looked the Hyundai 4x4s…. I had a Santa Fe back around 2006 and it only broke down after 167k miles…. The Ix35 and the other smaller version ( Tucson?) we’re reliable without being incapable off road?

Ours is a 2015, had it since new and cannot find a better daily driver, BUT it we speccd a chunk of options on it and when one of those broke (adaptive cruise and front assists) it was quite expensive, as was the replacement wheel arch wheel trim.
Did toy with an older 4x4, but chose to go new as wanted hybrid as a suck it and see.

Just an up date......I Looking at a non phev outlander Saturday.
Ground clearance is about 8.5 inches and the wading depth is 400 mm.
guess what I have been looking at for the last few weeks. Although I am looking at something like a 2011 ML350 as the reviews seem to be very good for them in regards to reliability etc. well a lot better than LR, maybe not as good as Jap.
