Available: Opportunity for someone to be involved

No, they aren’t interested, this isn’t a thing for anyone who just wants to be out pulling the trigger, this is probably for someone new to it, that’s happy going out to shoot a handful of rabbits or if someone wants a deer we’ll go and get them one, it’s just an opportunity that might get someone onto some different land and if they don’t have FAC could put them in a position to have one if that’s what they want

Im totally with you - im happy as larry being out and about - Shoot what needs shooting not just because i can sort of thing - Total zero tolerance on vermin - but things like deer / woodies im happy to sit and watch these days

That's called evolution...!!! 🤣🤣

Sorry. Sorry. I tried so hard to resist that one, I really did.
Is the lambing getting to you Ben 😆
Was out with the laser last night, thank you, trying to sort foxes around the lambs. Makes a much difference. Somehow I didn’t even see one, which isn’t what the farmer is reporting!

Had a lad out with me this evening off here, we went to the shoot for a walk around and a chat, had a few rabbits, seemed a really nice lad, I hope he enjoyed himself, he seemed too, we seen the group of fallow on the way back to the farm but it was dark by this point so we had to let them be IMG_2121.webp

As I said earlier mate , finding a suitable person is difficult. I'm also out now again on my own , same as last night.
I cant see how it is difficult, You take someone out and get to know a bit about them, You let them know exactly what you're terms are and take it from there, If they're suitable then you've found the right the person if not then they don't get asked back.
This is exactly how I got in with the Gamekeepers many years ago, It took a long time before they would let me out on my own but I got there.
Personally I prefer being out alone, I went out last night early and just sat and watched the wildlife before dark then had a good look about with the thermal, Never managed to get onto anything but seen plenty non target species so it was still worth going out.

I cant see how it is difficult,
Believe me after shooting for 40 years it's not easy.

For a start where do you find a suitable person?

I have had a few shooting partners over the years , good and bad.

Some were unsafe which ended asap and others just unreliable and then there's the ones that go behind your back.
I remember taking a guy ferretting on a new permission whom I'd ferretted with for years. Next time I went with him the farmer asked how we got on last week and I said I wasn't ferretting last week to which he replied but your mate was 😡

I am lucky now that my mate and I are on the same wavelength so it works great.

I still shoot solo most of the time which I love as you go where you want when you want , no pick up times or home times just please yourself.

That is what every one as worries about nasty back stabbers.
You do not bite the hand that helps you.
I have been out with a SD member and could never ever lower my self to back stab.
