Wanted: Opposite of a deer dog ...

They would be off the leash most of the time amusing themselves, but would attempt to train them to not stray over fences lines and boundaries and pass gates.

I would be looking to take a pair to pups I think, ideally brothers.

Just looking to find the right breed that can amuse themselves a fair bit but not create total carnage when left to their own devices.
Breed is the least of it , getting two especially at the same time is barmy for all but the very best trainers ! Leaving a dog unattended by the human leader ? only if it is not allowed to move ( as in its a long sit and stay ) . Dogs are made or spoiled by the trainer not purchased !

I have been trying to make progress with finding Clumber breeders, but not really got anywhere
I go to a shoot near me and one the beaters has a clumber. He told me that they qualify as rare breed, there's not many of them about. His works well, spaniel action but really slow and steady, slower than most labs.
Good luck with your search.
