Orion shooting range

Had another day at Orion shooting range yesterday with 4 of my stalking pals. Steel targets out to 1000 yards in 5000 acces of Welsh hills. Absolutely brilliant to test your stalking rifles on targets from 100 to the 1000. Shoot as many rounds as you want. We all averaged 400 each. Perfect for seeing bullet drops and brilliant guys who run the place. 160 per gun from 9 till 4. Well worth it .

400 shots in 7 hours makes for one shot per minute (theoretically slowest rate of fire). Your rifles must have been sizzling hot... or how many did you bring each?

I have seen an ad for a range near edinburgh. Out to a 1000 IIRC with plans for a mile.

his guidance would have to be in very short bursts between the gunfire. You could make a statue with all that brass!

you do get a coach with you all day. Start in 2 covered huts with shooting benches and targets from 100 onwards. Clay's at 200 great fun and very easy to keep shooting steel at all ranges. Then moved onto a shooting platform with various targets out to 800 but lots of deer targets etc at 300. 400.

You shout 400 rounds ? Jesus am assuming cf rounds I wouldn’t been needing carrying off.

Sounds good value that though.

Love it! shoot there a few times a year only place to shoot the mile without the Bullcrape of Badge wagging muppets guys are there to aid in the day No phones so it's perfect stay in the red lion BB good grub good for a 10 guys to get away for a days container space if it turns wet sorry when it turns wet

The Orion Firearms Training website seems oddly hard to reach/busy. Hopefully the link I found is for the same outfit as the OP.
