Smashed my left knees 30yrs ago and knew it would catch up with me

Now xrays showing beginning of arthritis in both knees
Only bothering me when kneeling or transitioning between floor and standing up

So what if any supplements have you who have it. Tried ?

I started glucosamine sulphate and cod liver oil

Cheers

I’ve been looking into hydrogel injections, only available privately goes into the gap where cartilage should be and lasts about 3 years, maybe worth a look it’s a couple of grand a knee but better than an operation

Go on, do it and please keep us updated👍

Sounds daft I know but I use Uddermint (an animal treatment) which contains Peppermint oil. I rub it into the joint every morning. It works for myself and the pal that put me onto it.

Ironically a bit of weight training can help.
Yeah i plan to do something to build up muscles round knees..make em stronger

Yeah replacement will be end game at some point but bit off from that yet

Arnica gel.... I knew use that for bruising didn't consider for anything g else

The only true fix is to have knee replacements, when you see the scans and x rays you realise anything else is short term relief. Like Dave_45 I had 2 partial replacements last year and never looked back a real result.

CBD can work pretty well but Its hit or miss If it works for each individual It can be bought easily and legally and is often taken as a supplement for arthritic conditions.

At least in my opinion If I can limit the use of painkillers through another need I always chose too being on painkillers for extended times isn't fun.

From Google:- Applying an arnica gel (A. Vogel Arnica Gel, Bioforce AG) twice daily for 3 weeks can reduce pain and stiffness and improve function in people with osteoarthritis in the hand or knee. It might work as well as ibuprofen.
I use it each evening. I was using it in the morning, but have, last week, got a wellknee brace to try during the day.

CBD I've avoided till now
Reason being I work offshore and drugs tested .... dunnoe if the version with good stuff removed is any good ?
Other wise id try it

I usually try get my supplements in blisterpack for as again travelling by helicopter, the security gestapo don't allow open tubs of supplements... must be sealed/ unopened

As far as I'm aware CBD shouldn't effect anything drug testing wise pretty sure the actual stuff they test for Is THC though I say that I've never checked, so I'd double check with that.

There have been some dodgy comments about knee replacement components lately. Speaking to a few anglers with replaced knees, it seems that German components are better than American components.

Have you tried using kinesiology tape to help support the joints? Works really well when my knees flare up.
Loads of YouTube vids showing how to tape them up depending on the different types of injury.
