Out last night.

#71 and #72 tonight. After spotting one in a large field decided to set vixen on heat going of a gate post. Dog fox circled all the way round the outside of field eventually coming up a bank 150 yards out. 20251110_202412.webp
Went to retrieve it and the young cattle started kicking up a fuss so a quick retreat out of there back to landrover. Once packed up had another quick scan and there was another one in field. Couldn't tell you what it was as wasn't going in for picture lol

Mine used the 321 or something called similar disposable ones. Is there a rechargeable replacement now?
Enook IMR18650 3.7 v 3600mah 35 amp, I dont know if we are talking the same battery here SD. Yours appear to be a button type.

Well he's been around here a long time now, 5 years or more, he never caused me any trouble. But he seems to be getting nearer to the farm now, maybe its old age not so keen on hunting, smelling the geese in the farmyard. It would be a sad day if it ended, grown quite fond of the old warrior, & I certainly noticed a near absence of dog foxes on the farm. Hmm, Old Longarse pushing the boundaries & pushing his luck.LA 2.webpOld LA 1.webp

You think its the same one Mr Tree ?

100 percent, saw him in daylight the other day, he's magnificent. Strange after 50 years of killing foxes I made a kind of truce with one.
Ya soft old bugger... get 'im shot.
If ye can't do it I'll pop over... that would make him #50 for me this year ..

Only kidding mate... good to see some compassion in the world.

Another dog fox in the back field for me last night

Sat out in the rain last night and mine came into the field but nit to the bait - the bait is gone this morning - no idea what time as the camera was knocked over !

Very quick post dusk foray. Saw 4 shot 2 . First big vixen second small dog. Home for a quick supper then 2 hrs on the rats another 35 culled. That's over a hundred in a week. Remaining ones getting very jittery.
Weather conditions inclement at present but not as bad as up country.
Foxing may go on hold for a while.but next week moon state looking favourable.

Another out the window tonight. 3 in 3 nights!
My cosy attic room shooting probably isn't going to happen this year. The farm at the bottom of the garden has let the shooting to a syndicate, and they are having a few "Disco Nights" out after the foxes... jukebox blaring and lights/giggles aplenty.

Well done sir, it's lovely when you only have to open the window :)
