Out last night.

Was lovely stalking yesterday evening- a nice chilly, moonlit one for a change.
Took two cwd but real challenge was moving about on the very frozen grass - a bit like walking on a bed of Doritos!! Crunch, crunch, crunch, etc.
certainly made it harder for me.

Deeper snow than last visit, -8, 🥶 1 paired up couple spotted just outside boundary near a forest edge, will deal with them before lambing kicks off, 1 singleton crossing at speed on a mission no safe shot presented.

Well chaps I got up at 04:00. The calling within was too strong!
I just checked my neighbours chicken units. It's all I could do. Even as I got dressed and gear ready my mind was already wanting to return to bed!
I krept up the farm track to be treated with the sound of the big diesel locomotives carrying all those containers from Liverpool to Birmingham. Docked in big oil burning ships bringing goods for the little minded woke idiots the length and breadth of Britain.
They are a few miles away but when you can hear them clearly we are in for rain soon!

So far up the track I looked back at the farm and noticed something hot in the fence but I was to lazy to light it up. It had no familiar shape so I didn't bother starting the Zulus.

I didn't really see anything else as I rounded the chicken sheds, just a few rabbits.

I was awarded with a dog fox barking in the distance on @Andy RV patch, near some sheep.
By now my chest was burning so I turned for home. I don't know what this bug is but I'm knackered from it!
On my way back I got to the back of the farm and that hot spot had gone...😡
Now I think it may of been a curled up fox waiting for me to pass, bugger!

Look, I tried and that's that. I got home, put kettle on. Poured a dram of malt and went bed but not before oiling that bore!
Take care Sd, I got that respiratory flu thing, 7 weeks to get rid of it, had to have 2 courses of antibiotics & steroids, coughing all the time, thought I was dying, short of breath. You want to be careful cos it comes back again.

It's awful isn't it. I desperately want to get but know if I did I'd regret it 😞

I've dosed up on meds and and sitting in my van 200yards away from the bait a fox has been coming to. I'm late though after arguing over the lousy service from EE on the phone when at home. I've been passed from one bull**** expert to another only to have them finally admit my service is undermined by more affluent customers! Bartstids. Told them I'll send half the bill next month untill they get their act together.
Britain, who would want to come here....

You have the Portapotty with you Smelly?:norty:

Bloody never showed last night so visited another farm and just circled the farm.
There was one there but it may of winded me and as it slipped away it ignored calling.
Still, good to see. The wind was bitter though and although feeling ok I feel rough this morning!

the first reading of your post I thought you were referring to " Mr hanky 😆💩

Another big dog out the bedroom window last night. They just keep coming. It was so bright with the snow on the ground and moon out I could have shot it with the day scope. I didn’t even turn the thermal on - could see it by eye!
Yeah the one I saw last night I could with the naked eye and the Zulus didn't need IR but it caught me off guard and I missed the opportunity 🤦
