Normal for your age Smelly - just wait til you’re mine!FB, I took Jess for a walk to an old crow roost and it was cold!
When I got back home I decided that's enough and kicked the stove vent open!

It would be cold at this time of year, the birds haven’t started sitting in there yet!FB, I took Jess for a walk to an old crow roost and it was cold!

Na, this is a roost, not a rookery Ken.It would be cold at this time of year, the birds haven’t started sitting in there yet!

Once shot a very large heavy dog fox. It soaked up two 222 rounds like nothing happened but sat down. The third shot decked him out. Only 100yds.I should have posted this a week ago but anyways.
farmer sent us down to one of the places where lambs will be coming to.now we hate this spot as we had a spot of bother last year with comments on face fcuk and police involved.nothing came of it as we were doing nothing illegal and the farmer said " any problems to ring him and he'll come and tell them to fcuk off and mind their own business"but I would be a bit more diplomaticbut the thought is still there.
so it was a stealth approach, minimal calling, took the shot, picked up sharpish and get out of dodge.not to befox moved just as I fired and I hit it center body and it ran oh fcuk!. luckily only 75 yds,so a quick dash and back to plan A.
on to the next place and spotted one @320yds,now we've been after this one for a while.we reckon it's the lone survivor of a bunch of 8 we cleared up off this farm a couple of weeks ago.all the other times we've seen it it just trotts off never to be seen again.
set up ready for it to come into view anda good chest hit,it gets up and started to walk
another hit, fcuk me it gets up again and staggers towards us
down it goes but it doesn't get up this time.
when ant picked it up all 3 hit's should have been a kill shot ?
time for home for cake and medals.View attachment 406284View attachment 406286

No real cure that I'm aware of but would love to know if there is!! I think the damage is done once they appear - caused by warming cold toes up too quickly and tiny blood vessels bursting as far as I know. I get them from fell running in winter if I jump in the shower afterwards before letting things warm naturally. Which is really hard as I'm usually freezing and muddy so need to jump in the shower! The only solution I have is to not get cold / wet in first place so I run in gore-tex shoes now. Interestingly, I was skiing last week and my feet get really cold (Raynauds) but no chilblains as they warmed up naturally at some point during each day.Talking of cold & damp anyone have good cure for chilblains?? Got one on both toes.
Just got here & it's raining....they hadn't forecast rain. I'm still in van..be back on sofa if this keeps up!!![]()
I don't like getting my kit wet if I can help it. Give it half hour then I'm foxtrot oscar! You are there - crack on pal !
