Which one did you buy as a stop gap, finn?I was intending to zero the thermal today, but it seems this one could take five hours to charge its internal onboard battery from its new out of the box state.

Very impressed with the little Nocpix BOLT L35 lrf, I think it's a keeper, out to the farm & back in just over an hour, including walking it in, stiff crosswind pushing the treble at 100 yards.
I did think about it Smelly, but I thought I'd be better letting it sort itself out as with it being fresh out of the box.

first time out this year , now the fields are bare , check zero ( all good )
Dog and vixen , this years cubs I’d say , notice the bird that the dog had in its mouth , both within 3 minutes is each other

Set up on a new patch last night which looks really promising.
1st stand had a great field of view , cub call on the Foxpro soon had a litter of 5 cubs appear , 3 were taken before the others departed
Moved onto stand 2 and spotted a cub getting chased by the sheep , no 4 in the bag.

Out Friday night..lots cleared but still a bit of standing corn left.
Spotted 2 cubs in the one field and managed a quartering shot on the first and no shot on the second as it headed into the corn and didnt come out (sensible), Managed a second in a cut field off the top of one of the big bales. Nos 30 & 31 .
No pics as 100 grain .243 bullets made a real mess of these 2.

Cheeky sod.No worse then some so here you go. Both were face on (ish) so in the chest and then out...well back end and through the leg..very dead.
