I cut a little slit in the trigger finger so I can pop said finger out for a shot. Well done though.Bad wet weather had put a stop to things lately. A dry evening spurred me into action. I have a couple (3), ok, a few bait pipes. All were being visited nightly. The easiest one, where I could sit in the truck was after over an hour and a half a non runner.
I moved off to where I could see 2 bait pipes from my vantage point. The cold was setting in and I decided to give 5 moreโฆ. With that a fox stuck its head out of a ditch and trotted across the field. I faffed the first shot owing to having gloves on. Unphased the fox ambled across the field. It paused and this time without a glove on I sent it on its way.View attachment 461432

The fields here now are literally like a bog. Whatever is not under water is just soft mud.
Impossible to try and stalk anything unless on high ground
First dry night I could get out for a week
I am the same couple of stands as type of ground only allows these spots for safe back stops , sometimes I have sat for 3 hours just watching wild life and the rat race go by lol , but starting to suffer from cold finger tips and cold feet , tried those hot hands for sticking on your socks , absolutely useless they need air to keep them going and stop after app 30mins , they say take your foot out to allow air to get ay em again lol joke .I never wander around the foxing ground, just overwatch from high points rotating on different phases of moon, let them come to me.
Heated socks can help, I had two pairs for Boar drives in Europe, but not that cold here, I do have a problem with Raynauds syndrome but I keep that at bay with these items;I am the same couple of stands as type of ground only allows these spots for safe back stops , sometimes I have sat for 3 hours just watching wild life and the rat race go by lol , but starting to suffer from cold finger tips and cold feet , tried those hot hands for sticking on your socks , absolutely useless they need air to keep them going and stop after app 30mins , they say take your foot out to allow air to get ay em again lol joke .
