Good for the grass lol. The pace these farms go you have to be out either within a day of silaging or wait a few days (as you well know).

I probably scan more then most but hedges and cover hide a lot and there is only so much you can check. I'm sure all of us have thought "where did that fox come from" 
On the timeframe I mentioned it was the delay between grass being cleared and slurry going out. I dont generally bother until the grass is off the field if I can avoid it...makes getting about more of a pain.
This is so very true so many times I have thought where has that fox got to and lo and behold it has snook up behind me and is just sitting on its haunches and is thinking what is this silly bu^$"er up to I wonder.

What with buzzards, kites and ferret types, (couldn't spell the correct species name and spell checker kept suggesting Muslims), my wild stock has no chance

Trip up to a new lease North of the wall and took this lovely dark buck, and my pal a little cull buck... many others seen.
Then ahead of our Scottish pals pheasants arriving in a couple of week said I'd skip me bed and head out foxing with him last night.
With a new thermal scope to put through its paces, 3 down, should of been 5
but the wind was whipping off the Irish sea ... thats my excuse anyway!

Picked up a new Sako 90 Finnlight in 22-250 on my latest jaunt North.
After a quick load development session it was out for the evening to blood it.
2 taken with the rifle, only one with the camera
Seems to be a wee hammer of a round, first foray into .22 centerfires and I like it

Just a little 20" shorty, handy truck/quad gun. 50 grain Blitzking
I know theres faster powders than N140 but I've loads of it, and it also works for my 308 and one 243 load. It seems to give decent enough velocity and very good accuracy
