Well I thought I'd add this one in here, Just because of it's admirable adversarial content, made an evening's lamping enjoyable,........ even though he's going to be chuckling about us for a while (a very short while

), been visiting a new place with a concentrated fox problem, one fox every visit, right up until last night!!, must admit I do enjoy a player that has been educated by previous encounters,......... we (Mike & I) walked away from the farm this time out to the back of the village, where I considered Charlie's initial entry point was most likely, bloody cows getting in the way every two minutes, good job we didn't have a dog in tow!... sure enough within around twenty minutes, that unmistakeable pair of foglamps, (bins up just to make real sure),.. well I held him with the squeeker for an absolute age, I could even smell the lens cooking on the lamp!

, Then a security light went on at a bungalow & he offed us in favour of the dogfood,... moved back to the rear of the farm near the clamp, (I'd popped a couple here the previous week), no show, so off around to the front of the big house next to the lane, spotted him again after a short while, it was made clear that our game was a known quantity, either a house or a mook in the way! exit stage right across the lane into the darkness, O.K. lets pack up & go home,as has happened before, Mike has wrapped & made safe, putting it in the rear of the motor,I get the gate & walk down the drive then pop the lamp back on & guess what? seems that Charlie has a rangefinder too! 700's a tad much on fresh ground!

...... So we'll see him again Tuesday evening, but with prior knowledge of the preferred route!
