Might be worth waiting as it might lower gen1 price.
But that info might have changed, maybe they can 4k at night now? It seems but daft having 4k add on otherwise as can't see why anyone would use one during daylight??
You should have 2 weeks distance selling regs on it too, so long as it's not used and as new. So a view out the window with them both should be fine.

It is, but I'm getting one without the IR or lrf so no sticky out bits. Best part of 300g lighter, get it it lower mounts. We'll see
I am keeping it for now, put it on my rimfire.

That's a good chunk lighter, how's the quality compared to the alpex? Build and image quality?

Not really had chance to test quality properly. In terms of daytime garden image, the higher base on pard is noticeable. Both look brilliant length of my garden, about 40m.
Only built aspect on pard where's it's behind Alpex so far is lens cap. Alpex just clicks open with a button. Seems you have to pull pard open which feels not the most sensible way.
One thing I hadn't realised about pard is view through scope is all circle, like a glass scope. Hopefully zero tomorrow on my 204. Just fitted a aftermarket trigger on 204 m77 so see what that's like too
I'd read that it's got a round screen, something I'd like. I know it's only a square screen with the corners cut off but still..... Let's hope it's good for you.

Just put my returned ds3550 on the 22.
I think it's a replacement unit!
It's the basic unit so I have to guess the range once past zero distance.
Doing so it's pretty spot on and I was just under pebbles in an earth bank guessed at 120yds so I dialled in 130 and was hitting them. Throw a HV 22 in the chamber and the the current 60yd zero for subsonics becomes a 100yd point and shoot.
