my patterdale x has started to carry his right rear leg,not all the time but getting more regular,he is six years old.no obvious signs ,no cuts, nothing in his pads and no signs of distress just started carrying his leg

I had one that did exactly that odd little bugger take it to the vet but I bet its nothing

If it’s an entire dog mate ,it’s a sign all is not well in the genital area .Get him checked out I would .

My fell terrier has carried his hind leg when trotting along since being a pup had him checked out nothing wrong just a habit

Typical terrier "dot-and-carry-one" I would have thought, but a bit odd if he's suddenly started doing it as a mature adult.

quick update,the vet checked him over and says his knee joint is worn and pops in and out.says he is not in pain and does not think it is a problem but if it gets worse there is an operation he could do but says watch how he goes.did want to give him l4 injection but said it was my choice so no injection.
