perruque roe head

I thi k I know the answer but I got asked this question so thought best ask the collective on here.

A friend has a couple friends over and one has taken a nice perruque roe.

He asked if it is the sort of thing that gets measured.

They want a shoulder mount done from it as well so how do they go about caping the animal please.

You could cape it in the normal way up the neck, then CAREFULLY cut the head free at the atlas joint, being very careful NOT to cut through the skin at the top of the neck. Wrap the head, then freeze the head. It can be got to the taxidermist in the frozen state.
Don't be tempted to try and remove the skin around the head, as it is often complicated in Perruque heads.
