Managed to get a couple of hundred LR magnum primers (£15/100) and a few rounds of 416 Rigby, some Mauser stripper clips and 3 of those orange plastic jobbies which go in the breech to show clear.
Enjoyed linking up with a few faces from the past, perusing the selection of military rifles on display, mainly .303's, and hunting through the boxes of random bits and bobs. Got there 8ish and was back on the road about 11.
Home now having swerved the Bank Holiday traffic, will deffo go again next year.

Thanks for the heads up. I still have to attend or it will be another 12-months before I collect the 1000 small pistol primers a member purchased for me at the last Phoenix.

Well I went today to see what was about....not alot lads!
Severely depleted from previous years, not big enough for the marquee tent in recent years infact! Many of the old staunch stalls weren't there but plenty of the oldie worldy stalls if that's your bag.
One stall had a good selection of bullets for reloading, no 50gr SBK, but plenty of others.
Worth a look if your nearby I guess but I wouldn't travel far. The sign outside said 'over 25 displays' and if that was true I'd say there was 26.
Such a shame to see this fIr dwindle like it has.

You should have been there in the early 80’s. That area of the Camp was crammed with marquees and inspiring traders offering toys to sell a kidney for.
Now you’d need to sell both simply to secure the basic and boring components that allow one to send lead or copper into the target frame!

We went this morning, quite small but for me worth while,I found of all places in the Fultons air rifle shop an original folding fully adjustable rear peep sight for my 1902 Lee Enfield Long, what a result!!!

I have collected BSA sights for many years and have a few of that particular one that l would list as the 9b it’s predecessor was the push pattern again l would list it as 9a.
Your particular rear aperture sight was also used in combination with the Alex Martin Galilean sniper rifle foresight.

Very sad and at my reading the average age of the stall holders was 80!
Felt very sorry for the 4 tables tucked away in the back room with little if any ‘visibility’.
All stands seemed to be selling old kit and rifles that have seen better days. Apart from the stand with primers that are given of fluid pricing. I’m being polite!

Just noticed your message, sorry for the delay in responding.
l merely collected BSA sights when l used to shoot Service Rifles, (sadly now all sold), and only used them in that context, so l must apologise that l can’t help you in their use in vintage stalking rifles, perhaps another member could help.
What have the NRA done to diminish the event?
