Elderkins catalogue a fantastic thing imo used to advertise x2 .410 pistols back in the day, one a ss hg hammergun folding tuther cannot recall, odd ones appear at auction houses for not much, fill your hands ......🤣
Horses for stalking and breaking to the shot to follow, hse will soil themselves, again....🤣
Not at all, H&S would be happy with one of these but it is a modern O/U not one of those old fashioned SxS

Sometimes it's better to walk away. Hit a Deer with a hammer, your going to court. RTA smashed up Deer hit it with a hammer because local vets want a fee to come to the scene, your a Good Samaritan. For what it's worth captive bolt no need for any paperwork. It just weighs 3 kilograms.
Captive bolt is an excellent choice assuming you bleed the animal.
I do use one but not a useful tool for stalking only HD

Yes I did, probably more than twice as my spelling and grammar is appalling but it doesn't change my point that you made an assumption as to why a pistol was granted, my pistol was granted as I had a demonstrable need to own one for the dispatch of my own deer. what else I use it for does not detract from the fact it was granted for purely for following up my own deer.
I haven’t made any assumption and the question doesn’t mention the words ‘reason’ or ‘grant’.

However feel free to change your answer based on your grant, it will still be around 95% (2 more have responded ‘No’ since our exchange began) so still, the vast majority don’t feel the need!

"the vast majority don’t feel the need!" is an assumption, owning one and wanting one are 2 different things, do you mean feel the need or have a desire but don't have a demonstrable need to convince the FLO hence their answers?
I have changed my answer to yes

Looks very nice and practical and easy to carry and guessing good thing to have in the hd tool kit, would imagine all a bit of a carry on and not for me as cannot to myself justify.
The old Belgium hammer guns just had the look of a highway mans double pistol, bit longer barrel and longer chamber with a tad more control, but would lose out to the bullet option.
Would love a Luger because it’s a Luger, no use for it though☹️
I would love a Luger too and a broom handle C96 but cant demonstrate a need

How do you get on with the grips, I found theyre completely the wrong shape comfort wise, I was fortunate enough to have some bespoke ones made by avery nice member on here, totally transformed the pistol

That looks nice and very practical 👍
To be honest I get on ok with them but I only tend to use 2" 410 cartridges with it so little recoil and perfect for HD of medium sized animals and if im slaughtering or knackering larger animals I tend to use a captive bolt or shotgun as its a more controlled deliberate activity with room to manoeuvre unlike HD

It seems pretty clear you have no idea what is being asked, I agree….

‘Has no involvement with other HD’ is pretty clear
I have already replied so don't need to respond further, 10 pages is all the evidence needed to demonstrate assumptions in the questions and bias, see response 168

I think you you just don’t understand simple words like majority.

In post 139 you agree with the sentiment that ‘ I don’t think anyone needs HD a pistol for stalking per sei’. Now you are saying assumptions are being made that because people don’t have one they don’t feel the need. That is not an assumption, that is based on what people are saying on the 10 pages of thread.
