If it turns out you are in breach planning control and the man from the council comes along and says so, the remedy is to put the land as it was before the development. That’s easy if it’s caravan on wheels. More expensive if it’s a building.
Thinking about this for me and my mrs for short breaks but also for myself as a convenient base for my deer management on the farm.Anyone in Scotland done this at all? Planning laws and anal retentive regulations abound but im wondering if deer management could sway it as an agricultural worker type scenario???
I don't see why there should be a problem. Thousand of folk (self included) have touring caravans parked/stored on farms a take them for a wee holiday occasionally. That holiday often involve staying on another farm.
One of our tenants on this estate has replaced the pigs he once did with caravans. Very large Dutch barn, once partitioned with pigs in,now full of stored caravans.
Reckons he makes more money from the caravans stored there than he did from the pigs.
Most of the above information is incorrect, but artschool is pretty much bang on the money.
By far the easiest ( but not correct )way to do things , is just put the caravan where it can't be seen.
