Nothing like a bit of Sika, but whatever species give me a youngster or female over a mature male every time

Once did a dinner party with 'vertical venison', roe and muntjac haunch, (just to show off, if I am being honest !). The roe came out the winner by a small margin. Neither was hung more than a day or so.

Yep a type of mule deer apparently.

The reason I ask ed about those three is because only the fallow and sika are available where I hunt. I added the roe, because t hey are similar, although smaller, to our white tail and I assume that they might taste the same. Thanks,captdavid

Only eaten Roe, Red and Sika but my favourite and so is the wife's is Sika

I only ever eat the yearlings, and I like CWD the best. the rest of them I aren't fussed about .
