I went to a clay shoot while on holiday in Wales at a nuclear power station I couldn't find the shoot so rocked up at the main gate security station, they said go left its round the back the gates open.

A lot of our Suffolk heads are similar (due to genetics) in that they are narrow at the base and often sweep in to the centre before sweeping out at the brow tine - generally narrow heads. I managed a 113.6 bronze in 1997 and doubt if I will better that. However, they are for the memory, not the size and I had a lovely stalk on an interesting head this morning - that will be going on the wall.

cracking old buckSurely it's the same as any other animal good genetics breed good stock. If you have gold medal quality animals they have the genetic potential to produce gold medal offspring. You then have food influence if you have good food and good stock it should produce gold medals. The biggest thing to influence it is what you shoot if you only shoot gold medals the bucks coming into replace them are likely lower quality.

Where l moved away from 22 years ago,top medal heads are a plenty on the right Estates.
My best mates underkeeper shot a gold after waiting half a million years for his fac .
This was his second buck ,he was told to feed round the boundaries and take shot if any come from next door.
They taste of roe deer,the same as my Devon ones.
