Borden Alpine 243, Sunny Hill bottom metal, stainless bases custom made for Optilock rings, stock (if I remember correctly) is a Bell and Carlson which despite the bedding block I had pillar bedded. All work by Neil Mckillop. With the Meopta 6-18x50 it weighs in at 9lb 7oz.
Just weighed my old wood and blue Sako AV, mod, and (more than I need) scope at bang on 5kg/11lbs. I’ve never thought it heavy, but reading this thread it seems quite above average. Is 5kg a lump for a stalking rifle?
Sako 75 action, 6.5 x 284 Krieger barrel bedded into a McMillan stock, Schmidt and Bender 4-16x50 PM11 scope in optilock rings, never weighed it but it's around the 10lb mark

Not my taste in rifles but Nice knife!I have been out in freezing temperatures and agree with what you highlight. A true life consideration.
One I have suffered! It’s not too bad though.
