Post your rifle setup including weight

Borden Alpine 243, Sunny Hill bottom metal, stainless bases custom made for Optilock rings, stock (if I remember correctly) is a Bell and Carlson which despite the bedding block I had pillar bedded. All work by Neil Mckillop. With the Meopta 6-18x50 it weighs in at 9lb 7oz.

Sensational

Tikka 595 All Weather, as the stainless sporter was marketed. Original factory barrel in 22-250.
Bolt fluted and pillar bedded into a McMillan Sako Hunter stock by Neil Mckillop. Leupold VX3 8.5-25x50 in Optilock bases and rings. 9lbs 14oz.

This thread’s identified a lack of a light weight stalking rifle in my collection and has me wanting to re-visit my youth. Anyone know where there’s a good Tikka M55 Trapper in .308? Variation in hand.

Just weighed my old wood and blue Sako AV, mod, and (more than I need) scope at bang on 5kg/11lbs. I’ve never thought it heavy, but reading this thread it seems quite above average. Is 5kg a lump for a stalking rifle?
