Post your rifle setup including weight

I have the same scope on a H&R 340 ( Zastava 98 ) in 06 , it may be old , but it's a reliable and clear scope . Gorgeous rifle by the way . Speaking of gorgeous old rifles , a friend dropped by with a new purchase , a Wickliffe 76 . If I remember correctly , you had one at one time , as did I . He brought it over just to taunt me the B******d . It's the first one I've seen in a very long time .

When I was eaten up with the lever bug and had a veritable boatload of Marlin’s in 444 & 45-70 I used a lot of old Weaver K2.5’s K3’s K4’s and a few others that were all made before 1980 .

My favourite vermin rifle; in desperate need of a PSE to lighten it up though. Weight: Approximately the same weight as your average celestial body. Don’t even get me started on trying to carry the bench 😂.

🤣🤣🤣

It’s going to need more than a PSE to loose weight. That is like the woman in front of you in the queue at McDonalds asking for a salad to go with her Big Mac meal with hamburger chaser because she is trying to loose weight.

I has a 6mmbr that was it’s almost twin many years ago. What calibre is it?

I’m glad you said vermin rifle because that would be a bind to carry.

😂😂😂.

It’s a 20 Ferguson Ace. A BR necked down to 20 cal, shoulder blown out massively. Around 46gr case capacity. 55gr Berger’s at 4,025!

I had it built to shoot prairie dogs and woodchucks in America. As you can imagine, the barrel is on its way out, soon to be swapped for something more sensible like a 20-250AI!

So many old fogies on here- I'm having to convert all these lbs into kg!!

How old is an old fogie? I am a young 38 😂

I find a lot of the firearm industry is still imperial thanks to the USA. All the bullets are in grains and barrels inches. I’ve become used to weighing rifles in lbs and bullets and powder in grains and a barrel measured in inches. Thankfully whole inches because when it comes to fractions of an inch it blows my mind.

As a result I have become familiar with weighing rifles in lbs but all my cooking is metric. I still weigh myself in stone and pounds thanks to my parents still having the bathroom scales growing up.
