Price to butchers ?

Customers are from all walks of life. Pensioners, young families, teachers, farm workers, you name it. Also restaurants. Most people around here earn below the average wage - it is recognised as an "Economically Deprived Area", but people love to buy food directly from the producer.
I have cut 5 carcasses this week.
That is very interesting and quite surprising to be honest. Sounds like a very successful business which is great.

Thanks. It's a bit early to say whether it's a successful business or not, but local people have been very enthusiastic in their support, and the restaurants are delighted to have a local supplier of venison. Interestingly, people very rarely ask about prices. They order what they want, and pay the bill.
Local food festival was tremendous - I'd never been to anything like that before, and we sold nearly four carcasses in a day, taking over £1,200

Happy to pay £2 kg for couple of carcases here and there for my own consumption prefer head shot not fussed if toxic or non toxic used prefer them hanged for a few days in the chiller! Happy to pick up localy south essex or meet half way if coming from a bit further!
