I’m not sure what you are reloading, but with small pistol primers there seems to be a big different in how hard the primers are to initiate - my Taurus LBP’s hammer isn’t strong enough for some of the brands.
Speak to your RFDs The only tiny get out is Edgars who have police / Military but that doesn't mean they will distribute all that comes in to private citizens and things will change for worse or hopefully better .Where did you get that information? I have serious doubts that this took place in reality.
Probably too far for you, but Westlander were selling tonnes of S&B primers (at a very reasonable price) at the National Shooting show.Generally use Federal but have used S&B with no problems or concerns - not been able to get them for a while though…
that's good to know as I have just gone from rws to cciI just switched from CCI to rws primers and noted 0 difference at all.
Yes. I found that CCI Large Rifle gave less extreme spread than did Remington 9 1/2 in my two .270 Winchester calibre rifles.Just a quick question, I usually purchase CCI or Federal primers, which appear to be be out of stock virtually everywhere. Are Magtech, Remington or say Sellior and Bellot equivalent quality and consistency for hunting purposes ? Hearing mixed reviews on this forum about Magtech, what about the other brands ? Many Thanks
S&B are very good, the batch of magtech LR I have are hard, had failures to fire in various rifles.Just a quick question, I usually purchase CCI or Federal primers, which appear to be be out of stock virtually everywhere. America now lists us as a terrorist state ! Wait all you want those good American primers aint comming .
I’ve used the LR magtech sun 300 PRC for a few rounds, no issues in that rifle to date.I've sworn by S&B SR Mag primers for 6.5CM loads for five years or so.
I've recently started loading for 300PRC and so S&B LR Magnums were my go-to . . . very disappointing with failure to ignite the charge on most occasions (Vit N170) and hang-fires with Vit N568. The loads ignite fine with Magtech LR primers.
Triffid
The Magtech LR primers certainly work much better than the S&B LR Magnums in my 300PRC loads, but I'm getting an ES of about 40fps. I'm hoping that a hotter 'Magnum' primer will help get this down, if I can find any.I’ve used the LR magtech sun 300 PRC for a few rounds, no issues in that rifle to date.
go find some American made primers then if you can as a civilianCompletely untrue and a ludicrous suggestion.

What I refer to is the nonsense notion that the USA designated the UK as a terrorist state. I have no idea about primer sales and distribution in the UK, I cant find enough primers in my state now. I am sure that the demand for small arms ammo has been part of the shortages war time has always caused that.Speak to your RFDs The only tiny get out is Edgars who have police / Military but that doesn't mean they will distribute all that comes in to private citizens and things will change for worse or hopefully better .
I’m long range target for mine, stalking & vermin far less pickyI have been using them in the triple deuce for several months now - no difference from Federal or Fiocchi so perfectly happy to continue with them.
