Primers - Does Performance Vary Between Brands ?

Wondering if anyone uses Henry Krank primers

After a bit of educated guesswork, I believe it was established that Krank's LR primers were rebadged Ginex from Bosnia.

If that is accurate then I can say a couple of things about them:

They have a relatively hard cup (like a magnum primer). In my Marlin I got about 50% light strikes with them, but in my striker fired rifles they have been 100% reliable.

They are tight to seat, I believe they are slightly larger than US made primers.

The anvils are very loose. Obviously no issue once the primer is seated, but if you drop one chances are the anvil will bounce off/out.

IDK if this is true, but I have seen it suggested that Ginex are the OEM primer in PPU ammunition. As I say, I don't know, but I do remember that years ago Krank's used to offer PPU branded primers, so I wonder if those were the same thing?

All in all though, I have made accurate and reliable ammunition for several of my rifles with them.
