Problem with Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35

Arrived today and worked Ok from the box and after charging the battery.

Upon connecting to the Stream Vision 2 App it wanted to update the firmware from v1 to v2 which I set it off to do. It said "FIRMWARE UPDATE" in the viewfinder and the progress bar progressed for a while. Then nothing. Just switched off. I restarted it and now it just sits with a bright white screen. I can bring up the menu, and switch the WiFi on again but as soon as the phone tries to connected - it locks up completely and doesn't respond to any buttons.

Unless there is some kind of magic master reset it looks like this is heading back to Scott Country on Monday. So disappointing!
 
Hmmm. The Stream Vision 2 App was updated by me by simply looking for it on the Apps - updated no problems and has worked fine ever since.

Had the same issue with mine, turns out that there was a glitch in the app as it didn’t need an update and in the end had to go back to Thomas Jacks be reset….

As you say, very disappointing
 
I have just managed to resolve! I restarted the unit whilst holding down the up and down buttons (a random desperate attempt). This appears to have restored it. I have now completed the firmware update in the App and all appears well.

For now anyway .....
Hi there. I’m having this same issue, I tried what you said, and nothing. Could you please give a little more detail
 
I’ve tried that, it flashes a red screen. I then turn it back on and it’s still stuck on a white screen.
Mine had similar issues.
Had to go back to Thomas Jacks twice within 8 months of buying new.
Ended up with a replacement unit.
 
I just had the same issue today, after trying to update. Bright white screen and then red blinking. Resetting the device solved the issue. Thanks for the advice.
 
I know this is resurrecting an old post.
I've now got this issue having tried to do a firmware update yesterday on my XG35.
Turn on white screen with blue icons, Wi-Fi off turns on then drops off again, manage to turn it on and connect to Stream Vision 2 and the screen goes red and flashes.
I've tried the 10 second power button and 20 second but no change.
I've emailed TJ's hopefully they'll respond with a solution.
 
Sorry to hear of the problems chaps. Muntysteve suggested this 2 years ago - maybe worth a try?

Meanwhile my Xq35 is used 3-4 times a week and still performing faultlessly after 18 months and I love it.

Well I was sat at the table whilst Mrs Dickie made us lunch, the Axion was there so I picked it up, put the battery in and not for the first time tried the power button and the up and down buttons for about 20 seconds and hey presto it only came back to life.
Firmware update done jobs a good un.
The Wi-Fi password changed so I had to reset that on the phone.
