Had the Pulsar C50 out with a few different IR torches as well as a mates Infiray td50l and Yukon sightline n470s. One thing we all agreed on was the Excalibur was the best IR

What did you rate best, TD50 or C50?

Any reason why?

I will try again probably tomorrow with a more stable rest. It’s very hard to focus and adjust the IR as well as hold the dam thing. I think there is a few clear moments in the full 4 mins of video.

Probably not going to get a media job for pulsar anytime soon

An old thread but I'll give my tuppence worth.

The C50 for absolute low light I'm talking without ir is brilliant colour image punches well into the gloom especially with sum light function on, switch it to black and white mode to shoot further into the darkness.

I've compared it side by side with the hik 4k and it's holds it's own or dare I say it actually performs better in near pitch darkness with no additional illumination.

It's only downside is it's weight but as @Tim.243 says the weight of the scope is the least of your worries on a long drag out with a heavy beast...

It will be interesting to see if the new alpex pro can give it a run for the money with performance at last knockings without ir, I note they have changed the lens apature so we will see.

I can't comment on performance with ir against the various other offerings as I only use it for stalking, but weight aside it's a top performer at last knockings and sometimes especially with Sika makes all the difference to getting the job done.
