Getting back to the scope, make sure they have the new battery’s in it, pulsar offered two, because the original batteries would switch off under recoil.
As to fog who the hell shots when you can only see 10 mtrs anyway ? Some people on here are day dreamers.

If you’re out and the fog rolls in then I take it you’re heading home with jall55 then? I’m content to carry on as long as the kit works and it’s safe, which it was due to topography and knowledge of it. If we only had NV it would have been home time.

Again, what reason do I have to dream or embellish the truth? I take things as I find them and was just trying to help the OP by offering up my real world experience of the talion. Do you have any, or just getting stuck in for the fun of it?

As it happens I actually have some photos from the night and one taken moments before the shot was, which shows the pea soup below us very nicely. Steve think about it - in my opinion and im sure without even knowing you - That im a LOT LOT more than you - how can what you are saying even be considered safe

I would be heading home - all the pheasants ever bred (foxes ever born) cant account for one man dead - No need to take any chances
