QD Mounts

Looking at getting a Alpex Pro and putting it in a set of QD rings for a .308 and 17 HMR, what are peoples experiences with QD rings holding zero.

I’ve been looking and don’t ideally want to be spending £300+ on a set of innomount rings if I don’t have to, what else is around and whats your experience with them?

Hate to burst your bubble but no two rails widths are the same, so generally QD rings set up are specific to one rifle.

Only one I’ve heard that is transferable is the top end Innomount Zero.

Otherwise standard Innomounts are very reliable if you set them up right. 👍

Both are Tikka Picantiny rails and I’ve swapped scoped between them before without having to move the rings at all, would just prefer the ability to use QD mounts and not have to carry any tools with me to move scopes if I’m doing it in the field.

Have been looking at the one piece QD innomount rail but just looking for other options if people have tried them.

Moving scopes and not moving the rings on likewise rails I believe is different to the latch of a QD mount on minutely different width rails.

Might just be me, but have three identical rifles with manufacturer rails and four sets of Innomounts. On mine, no QD latch is the same between rifle rails - being too loose to can’t get on due to the minimal rail width differences.

Interested to hear if you find the answer as I will only need one scope going forward. 😁
