Quad hours

What’s an acceptable amount of work hours on a quad. I know that a quad with little hours could have its bollix driven out of it and one with a lot of hours could be mint. But is there an amount of hours that would start raising eyebrows??
Thinking of buying a secondhand quad, I’m seeing different amount of hours on them but it makes no sense.

My fourpence if a quad has around 10 miles per hour of use it hasn't had a hard life when you start looking at 20-30 miles per hour used beware

I usually compare plant hours to vehicle mileage based roughly on it being compared with a car
Light use, good condition 30 miles per hour
Heavy use, poor condition 90 miles per hour
The reasoning for 3 times the difference is that poor condition also indicates poor maintenance.

Look at rust, kills em quicker on the west coast.

I just sold one. I find even the biggest fallow are easy enough to drag in a tray if I can’t get the jeep in. Wasn’t bothering bringing the quad most times because of that and also security when it’s parked up.

We considered one for reds, but decided that the places we go that they end up being shot are so rough a quad wouldn’t be that much use. Capstan winch and loads of rope…..

Depends on the brand and age! A 90s/2000s honda id worry more about the condition than hours! A bike built in the last 10 years it would be condition hours mileage. Also remember a bike doing very few hours can be as bad as one doing alot of hours.
