R8 trail thermal mounting

Morning Guys.
Il looking at a trail thermal XQ 50 LRF but to mount it to an R8 I’m thinking Ziegler Picatinny quick release Mount with the mounting system that it comes with

Has anyone got any experience or better ideas than this? And will it hold zero if removed and placed back?

Regards Steve

Not directly comparable but I wanted to be able to swap a Yukon Photon between an R8 and a Finnfire. It was the Picatinny system/dovetail connection that lost zero when I put it back onto the Finnfire.

If you are just taking it off and putting it back on only disturbing/using the rail to Blaser mounting system I think zero will be held just like it is with a scope.

If it's dedicated to that rifle Contessa make a Pulsar specific mount....it'll take an inch off the scope height versus rail + mount option and maintains zero perfectly with my N355 NV.

Thanks for the replies I’m sorted now got the new LRF trail with range finder on route.
Gonna Mount it using an innomount system as for the ward unit for the money the trail is European built and better value in my opinion
Thanks

Innomount do the lowest and totally repeatable Pulsar trail/other unit mount, elegant, effective, and LOW!

Pfitzmaier Jagd, Germany are excellent to deal with.
