rabbits with my .308 YES .375 h&h for Reds NO

Paul.

I was granted a .375 H&H for escaped dangerous wild animals (I manage a wildlife park) and also for any species of deer north of the border. F***ing crazy.... I was not allowed to zero the rifle anywhere outside Scotland, so for me to zero and check zero would be a minimum 600mile round trip. Not bad for a rifle who's primary use is to stop an escaped D.W.A. in southern England.

The chief firearms officer in my county had no problems granting me the .375 for deer north of the border, once i gave a letter of consent to use on suitable ground.

I have now had the conditions changed so I can zero on approved ranges.

On a further issue. It is obvious from your username that you are Paul, and are something to do with the Barony college, I would suggest caution about having a pop at your F.L.O and Police authority, one of them may well be a member of this site. Do what the rest of us do.... Have a more subtle username.... and then slag them off !
