Anyone know of any good ranges in the North West where you can use 6.5mm+? Looking for somewhere decent – and safe!

PS – Sorry didn't know which sub-group to post this.

Wern Ddu 100 only, near Corwen, used by Oswestry and Valley Arms clubs among others, Bangor tunnels again a club.
Diggle ranges near Manchester, another club.
Warrington rifle & pistol club travel to a lot of ranges.
Grange shooting club on the Wirral.

Stapesy I take it that you are aware of current ban or restrictions of 6.5 calibre rifles on many M.O.D. ranges?
So if hoping to shoot with a club that uses M.O.D. ranges check to see if allowed first. No such restrictions on private or civilian ranges (safety limits considered).

Warcop is clear for it, you do have to go as a club though, we were supposed to be there tomorrow but landmarc have cancelled

If a BDS or BASC member - come to our range days
As Buchan says BDS North West England branch run at least three range days a year. We used to have one a year at Kellet (Jn 33 of the M6) but are restricted to 100m there and since we can now use steel out to 200m odd we tend to have two at Grayrigg (ten mins from Tebay M6) and our one at Eskdalemuir.
