Rate your kit

My actualy best peace of kit has to be my knowledge and experiance. You can have all the gear and no idear. Theory practice is qood, until you actually do the practical side of things, then experiance and field craft in second to none.

I kind of agree Weeman I follow the US Swat team approach. My rifle is JAG (Just another gun)

Oh all right its a Sako 75 Stainless Synth in 25-06 with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x 40 on it. 5* kit

Knobloch Tripod. Bit fussy but you get used to it. 4*

Svord handmade knife 5* (holds a great edge) Sheath for it 2*

Orvis Silk vest and Longjohns 4* (durability not 5*)

Brasher Boots 5*

Renapur leather balsam 5* (Treat all leather and it lasts forever)

Bridgedale hiking socks 5* but Thorlo hiking socks 2*(Just dont last)

Niggeloh neoprene rifle sling. 5*

Worst buy - my Le Chameau Chasseur Wellies. Now had 2 sets, first returned under warranty. Boots are great and were very comfy even 10+ miles a day but the zips all fail and turn them into useless flappy things. Shocking at the cost.

the mora mmbeatle sold me on here - best knife I've owned given the price

S&B fixed power scopes in down to earth mags
sako, CZ and BRNO rifles
Stetson hats
barbour fingerless wollen gloves
garmin gps for finding culled deer on the hill
cheap regatta fleeces - can never have too many
hazel sticks for support on the hill

My Berghaus Goretex boots i bought back in 1997 absolutely superb and still loads of life in them, i bought 2 pairs the others unused in the box for when the current ones retire but that will be many years yet.

Ian.

my MS441 is my favorite piece of kit and my smaller caliber MS200 without them there wouldnt be anything in nmy gun cabinet

Scarpa SL M3 leather boots. If your feet aren't dry and comfortable you may as well just go home

anglo custom 7mm-08 excellent
swaro z6 excellent
leica 8x42 geovids excellent mostly because they are not very fad behind swaro on quality but are no where near the price
norma brass excellent, used to use nosler but had issues the norma stuff is superb to work with
thumbler tumbler cant believe i didnt get one of these years ago, i know you dont need super shiny brass but it eliminates one factor of accuracy with reloading
frost clipper/mora 10 quid hold an edge sharpens easy and if you loose it you can afford another
custom damascus knife, looks beautiful total waste of money as its never been out the house lol

I'm bound to be biased but the Monarch "Ghillie" Roe Sack - carrying this 50lb buck last Friday over a mile mostly up hill back to the caravan with no other means of extraction would have been hell if using the average market sack.

I'd be happy to market test one for you and provide a 3rd party review if I can keep the 'demo';)

to be fair 9/10 roe sacks are crap!
