Looking to start a collection of modern mounted spontaneous mutated pheasants like pied, greys etc. I bought a hermaphrodite last year however the flat skin the feathers point directly up and it isn't obvious what it is.
There body Is a hen patterned and colour (tail as well) but a very very unusual head with bronzing on the undersize, no spurs etc.
Not worth much £20-£30 quid but better than It getting breasted and tossed into an incinerator after, Pied I'm not terribly sure on worth but probably a tenner or twenty more
since there visible at hatch and more likely to be kept back on rearing farms, Hermaphrodites however are only visible once adult plumage starts to arrive in.
A fair number of keepers on here so I feel like a reasonble request to put I only get to see 3k birds released a year, much more likely to be seen on bigger shoots.
