Looking for a case trimmer for .22/250, 6.5x47, 308 and. .375. Was thinking of a wft trimmer with different inserts but getting expensive. Does anyone use a rcbs trim pro 2 with the universal magnetic shell holder. Please let me know your opinions. Thanks

Don't know about magnetic holder, how does that hold brass? I do have the spring loaded 'universal' clamp on mine and it works fine.

I've used the Lyman that uses a spring loaded "chuck" to enable it to accomodate all case base sizes. Cases snap in.

It works well enough and is consistent. OTOH if I were buying a case trimmer to keep for all time I'd buy a Forster.

The old style stepped collet RCBS trimmer is IMHO inferior to the Forster, also stepped collet, trimmer. And less versatile.

And it may be you are lucky and the steps in the Forster #1 (check online) will take all you chosen cartridges?

I have a Lyman , a 30 year old Pacific, and Lee Hand trimmers . All work fine . I have always considered RCBS equipment the industry standard for no other reason than this is what Granddad
had on his bench . What this means to me is that if I'm not sure I buy RCBS. Reviews on the trim pro look good . I don't think you can go wrong. Let us know!
