Recommend me a good case / slip

I'm honestly not sure on Scottish law, but in England that is not the case. I will frequently drive on public roads with a rifle unslipped in the car. I will walk out of my front door with one slung over my shoulder. I wouldn't do so if I lived in the middle of a city.

give us a ring tonite michael 01263732740 ill still be able to do it for you

Okay so I've booked myself and a mate some Scottish hill stalking , but I need a good case to carry my rifle around in , any recomendations ?
Cheers lads

I sell the AIM Dragbags, but for your requirements I wouldn't recommend them. They are far too big and heavy. A good quality lightweight slip is what you need.

JCS - 500 yards through the spag moss. Good fun!

andy, yes mate not far at all, 45 miles ish maybe 50. Just a short hop in these parts!

Love AIM to bits. The Operational Drag Bag personal preference - similar to standard bags, but sans the pockets etc - but still has rod sleeve.

Nothing is perfect - but 9 hours out on Harris in driving rain, sleet, snow, sunshine - cycling through in 20 minute intervals ( what Western Isle drought? ;) ) and not a drop got through. Straps pack neat too.

We do them face to face - nightmare to post. However, they are bulky and depending on exactly what you are doing could be a bit too much volume to lug around to be honest.

Napier stuff is good. That said, on the course before last, a candidate had a Farm Land butyl type material slip. It was inflatable. Not come across them before - but looked a neat item. apparently obtained from a certain Perth & Sterling outlet that sends out lots of catalogues;). Supposedly new item and not listed yet on their website.
